The Mystery of Wano: A Growing Nation or a Perfect Illusion

Part I of a special report by S.S.

Wano, a nation surrounding a vast lake, inspired by the Anime: One Piece, and currently in development, is led by a man known as .SlimeObi. On the surface, every citizen seems happy and content, fully supporting and approving of the nation and government of Wano.

From an interview with lil_shadow_real, a resident of Wano, the future of Wano is seemingly “turning out [well].” They appeared very excited about the idea of new citizens visiting Wano and perhaps even deciding to call it home. It is worth noting that just one day after this interview, the same suspect was reportedly “drowning themselves in alcohol.” Due to this, the reliability of these statements remains unclear. More information about this incident will be covered in a later report.

Another resident of Wano, Hollow_Nightmare, introduces a more confusing case. Despite being a citizen of Wano, they appear to hardly ever actually within the borders of the nation. Most of their opinions do not actually concern the nation of Wano itself; instead they mention the government body of Wano.

Hollow_Nightmare‘s current role in the government remains unclear. In fact, it could be debated that even he doesn’t know his position. When asked, he claimed, “That’s an Ever question.” The statement appears to reference EverTrue1910, an assistant of the Wano’s leadership. Despite his lack of responses, Hollow_Nightmare claims very close ties with the leadership of Wano. This includes two key figures in the government of Wano, .SlimeObi and EverTrue1910, who is an assistant. He references these two as his “homies” and claimed to have been through a “few servers” together. However, what these “servers” are remains unknown.

The most common thread among the citizens of Wano is their notable lack of awareness regarding the outside world. During an interview, Hollow_Nightmare admitted, “I honestly am not sure what other nations there are at this point to recent to the battle bus.” This can be interpreted as having unfamiliarity with the neighboring nations. The latter part of the statement mentioning “battlebus” remains unclear.

In a similar fashion, lil_shadow_real claimed there “wasn’t much thought” given to the surrounding nations. Whether this statement represents arrogance, contentment, or simple ignorance was difficult to determine.

Despite this, lil_shadow_real claimed to have “no complaints” regarding the government of Wano. Their personal ambitions are to “make money and be able to possibly start a blacksmith shop or a zoo with all of the animals in the game.” Of the two, they seem to be very keen on developing a blacksmith shop. Will there be a blacksmith shop in the future of Wano owned by lil_shadow_real? Or will they succumb to the whispers of alcohol? Only time will tell.

In both of these interviews, a common question was asked:

“What do you think about the leadership of Wano?”

Despite their difference, both residents shared a similar answer: “It was perfect.” Wano was led by the “amazing” .SlimeObi. However, to uncover the truth behind Wano’s leadership and the man at the forefront, further interrogation was required.

Those questions would lead beyond the voices of Wano’s citizens and into the hands of those at the top.
